This sports camp is appropriate for all levels of fitness and skills. Children are taught basic fundamental movement skills according to their age and ability. The skills and drill method of teaching in sport fosters confidence, fair play and a belief in their own physical abilities which is vital to any child in sports.
When children have the opportunity to learn a wide vareity if physical skills, they acquire the basic building blocks that will give them the competence and confidence to try many different physical activities and sports. We call this Physical Literacy.
Developing physical literacy involves learning fundamental movement skills (FMS). Children should learn fundamental movement skills in and around water, on ice or snow, and they should learn to control their movements in the air, typically when jumping, playing field.
